The Designer Selection Committee has been working through the process of hiring an architect. Interviews were conducted and reference checks have been completed with plans to follow up on any questions or additional information the committee feels is needed to make the selections that will serve our community best as we plan for the high school construction. Site visits are scheduled for Wed., Feb. 25th and Friday, March 6th. After the site visits, a recommendation for an architect will be presented to the School Board. After the architect is selected, a plan will be developed for members of the firm to spend time at MTA talking with teachers, staff, students, and others as we begin the design process. The Building Committee will begin meeting after the selection of the architect is finalized; the Building Committee will be working closely with the architects to work through the process outlined by the State of Maine for school construction projects.
