Public comment during the July 27th meeting of the Building Committee included questions and concerns regarding athletic facilities and a plan for avoiding negative student impact during construction. The PE /Athletic Committee has invited those interested to attend their next meeting to hear about the planning process for athletic facilities during construction.
The BC also planned for the August 3 Forum. Various sub-committee Chairs will report out regarding potential areas needing additional funding: Those areas include Academics, Athletics, and High-Performance Building. The community will be asked to prioritize those items requiring additional funding. The community will then be asked their opinion about how those items will be funded: Local share or private fundraising. Brad Smith will share that the local share per household per million dollars is approximately $5-$7 annually.
Scheme 10.3 (the forum is located near music and gym, concession could be located in proximity to gym and forum, administration is located on both sides of entry for ease of view of entrance) will be shared with the public on the August 3rd Forum.
