Two new schemes for the building project, 10 and 11, were discussed in depth at the June 1 Building Committee Meeting. At the end of the meeting, the committee members voted unanimously to focus attention on the development of scheme # 10. Therefore, PDT is focusing on developing that concept design further and has set aside #11 for now. Scheme #10 is referred to as the "Y" scheme. Some of the key features of scheme #10 include a larger student parking lot, main entrance on the east side of the building, service on the west side of the building and a central hub where the Learning Commons, Forum, Dining Commons, entry lobby, and Special Education Offices are located. Please note that scheme #10 can be viewed and is available for download below. The building committee highly encourages students, staff and community members to provide input about scheme #10. Please continue to use the form embedded below to provide feedback.
UPDATE: A digital version of Scheme #10 complete with proposed athletic field locations is available for download HERE. Areas of the building project that are not fully funded by the state are being identified and associated costs of those areas researched by PDT. Potential areas include auxiliary gym space, turf athletic field, bleachers, outside stadium lighting, classrooms for each teacher vs the collegiate model, and potential sustainability building systems (ie, use of solar power, geothermal).
Please save the date of August 3, 2016 as the Building Committee is planning a community forum to gather feedback about the collegiate model and potential areas of the building project that are unfunded by the State.
